Mirepoix: yellow onion, celery, carrot, bell pepper, fennel. Ham, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, red bell pepper, garlic, Doña Maria mole sauce.
So on the lid of the mole jar it says “abre facil”. Either I’m an idiot (always a possibility) or this is malevolently false advertising. Easy my butt.
But the soup was awesome.

The lid on the mole sauce wouldn’t come off, so I had to knife through the top. To little avail, as the sauce had hardened at the bottom of the jar. Had to dig it out with a spoon. Oh well.
